As an Indian, Aadhaar Card is the most important identification document for us. Its unique number contains almost every detail about a person, such as name, date of birth, permanent address, eye scan and fingerprints.
But, have you ever heard the term Blue Aadhaar Card? If you don’t, let me tell you this is another type of Aadhaar Card for children below the age of 5. Usually, it helps them to avail government welfare schemes easily.

Here is the list of the following documents required for Blue Aadhaar.
1. Child’s parents have to provide a birth certificate or hospital discharge slip.
2. They also have to submit a copy of their original Aadhaar Card.
3. If your kid is attending school, then you also have to submit his ID card or school’s bonafide statement.

How to Apply for it?

Step 2: Tap on the “My Aadhaar” option and select “Book an Appointment” from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Now fill in all the credentials such as the child’s name, parent's name, phone number and email address.
Step 4: On the next page, enter all the demographic information including residential address, locality, district, etc
Step 5: Schedule an appointment at the nearest Aadhaar centre and visit there with your child on the provided date. Don’t forget to carry all the documents mentioned previously.
Step 6: In the Aadhaar centre, they will follow the Aadhaar verification process and click a photo of your child.
Step 7: When the process is completed, make sure to collect the acknowledgement slip from the centre.
After the verification, your Blue Aadhaar Card will be issued within 60 days. And as I told before, it is totally free and no one can charge you any fees.
