Asian Paints Shares Fell 8% After Poor Quarterly Results: Gave Negative Returns of 25% This Year

After the results of the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25, the share of Asian Paints Limited is seeing a decline of about 8%. In fact, the company’s net profit declined by 42% on an annual basis in the July-September quarter. Consolidated net profit this quarter is RS 694.64 crore.

In the same quarter a year ago, the company had made a profit of RS 1,205.42 crore. At the same time, the company’s sales revenue declined by 5.3% in Q2FY25. It stood at RS 8,003 crore in this quarter. In the same quarter a year ago, the company had created a income of RS 8,452 crore. Asian Paints had released the results for the second quarter of financial year 2025 on Saturday, November 9.

Net Profit Reduced By 40%

• At the same time, there has been a decline of 40.68% in the company’s net profit in July-September on quarterly basis i.e. compared to April-June. The company had a net profit of RS 1,170 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2024-25.
• Currently, Asian Paints shares are trading at RS 2,550 with a decline of 7.92%. The stock has given negative returns of 11.44% in the last 6 months and 17.36% in 1 year. At the same time, the stock has fallen 24.91% so far this year.
• Apart from the results, the board of Asian Paints has also approved an interim dividend of RS 4.25 per share to the shareholders. Companies give some part of the profits to their shareholders, it is called dividend.
