AAP’s Bhagwant Mann who is the CM face in Punjab has defeated some of the biggest players in the state. Its looks like Kejriwal’s magic worked in his favor and voters showed trust on their agenda- Punjab nu Punjab banana di ladai. This is the first time AAP party has won big outside Delhi.

Early Life And Career Of Bhagwant Mann

Bhagwant Mann does not come from a political background, he started his career as a comedian in festivals and competitions at college level.
  • Until 2008, Mann was famous only in his state but people started noticing him after he participated in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
  • Bhagwant Mann also tried his hands on acting and did more than 10 regional movies.
  • Besides comedy and deep interest in politics, Mann also takes interest in sports and loves to play volleyball.
  • He is a follower of Bhagat Singh
  • He runs a NGO ‘Lok Lehar Foundation’ that provides support to children who suffered due to contaminated water.
  • Mann was married to Inderpreet Kaur but took divorce after 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He has two children and both live in the US.
