  • Bibliothèque Nationale – Paris, France

This library is composed of open-book-shaped towers. These 4 towers are constructed around a hollow and thickly forested courtyard. It was rebuilt in 1996 replacing the former building which could not accommodate expansion. Surprisingly, the library is one of the oldest and largest in the world consisting of 22-story, L-shaped structures.

  • Phone Booth Library – Westbury-sub-Mendip, England

The locals of the village established the library reshaping the former phone booth. The tiny library consists of almost 100 books, DVDs, and CDs, all contributed by the villagers. It is open for 24 hours and has an adequate light to simplify access to books at night. It is operated by volunteers of the area. They donate the most read books to a nearby charity shop.

The Ford Falcon is considered to have a dark history in Argentina. But, artist Raul Lemesoff transformed the vehicle from a symbol of terror and fear to a beautiful library. He drives the transportable library through the roads of every small town and other areas to provide books to people who cannot access a traditional public library. The tank-shaped library consists of 900 books in the frame.

The Carnegie-Stout Public Library is a famous public library in the U.S.A. Some of the volunteers of the library initiated a full-service mobile Library. They came up with a very different idea of providing children’s books, new releases, and DVDs at several parks on a bike.
