MasterCard changes policy to disable auto-billing after free trials

MasterCard changes policy to disable auto-billing after free trials: We all had at least one example of subscribing to any of the service, which is free for the trial period, but forgot to unsubscribe before billing starts. MasterCard is now changing how these things work for better.

As per the sources, The financial company has introduced a new policy under which traders will no longer be able to give you auto-bills, even if you forget to unsubscribe.

Merchants will now need to obtain authorization via text or email notification before charging them. This will also require them to provide users with monthly updates with pricing and clear instructions for on how to cancel any subscription.
