1. Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) Against Pune Warriors

Back in 2013, Royal Challengers Banglore established a record-breaking total of 263 against Pune Warriors. Yeah! This much score in twenty overs looks impossible, but the Universe Boss Chris Gayle turned it into reality.
From even the start of the innings, Gayle was in a very explosive mood. He played till the end and scored 175 individually, with the help of 13 fours and 17 sixes.
Apart from him, AB de Villiers smashed 31 runs in 8 balls, Tilakaratne Dilshan 33 runs in 36 balls and Virat Kohli scored 11 runs in 9 balls. It is the highest team score in IPL history ever.

2. Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) Against Gujarat Lions

The second-highest team score in IPL history also belongs to Royal Challengers Banglore. In 2016, the team scored 248 runs on the fall of only two wickets against Gujarat Lions.
But this time, it’s not Chris Gayle who helped RCB to score this total. They are Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. In that match, both outstanding cricketers built a huge partnership of more than 200 runs.
Virat Kohli shamed 109 runs on 55 balls with the help of 5 fours and 8 sixes. On the other hand, AB de Villiers smashed 129 runs in 52 balls with the help of 10 fours and 12 sixes.
3. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Against Rajasthan Royals

After two immense totals of RCB, Chennai Super Kings is the second team to top the list of highest team scores in IPL. Back in 2010, CSK established a grand total of 246 runs at the loss of 5 wickets against Rajasthan Royals.
From even the start of the inning, Chennai’s opener Murli Vijay sets the platform for his team. He scored 127 runs in just 56 balls. In his inning, Vijay smashed 8 fours and 11 sixes.
Apart from him, Albie Morkel scored 62 runs in 34 balls, and Matthew Hayden scored 34 runs in 21 balls. It’s the highest score of CSK in IPL history.

In 2018, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 245 runs against Kings XI Punjab with the contribution of every player in the team. In the inning, the overall team smashed 24 fours and 15 sixers.
At the start of the inning, KKR’s openers Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine set the platform for their team. Narine scored 75 runs in 36 balls and Lynn scored 27 runs in 17 balls.
Apart from them, Dinesh Kartik smashed 50 runs in 23 balls, Andre Russell smashed 31 runs in 14 balls, and Robin Uthappa smashed 24 runs in 17 balls.

5. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Against Kings XI Punjab

Before scoring 246 runs against Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings scored a huge total of 240 runs in even its first match of IPL history, 19th April 2008. The match was against Kumar Sangakkara’s Kings XI Punjab.
In the first inning, Chennai opened with Matthew Hayden and Parthiv Patel. But unfortunately, they got out so early. Thereafter, Mr Cricket Michael Hussy took command of CSK and scored 116 runs in only 54 balls. He smashed 8 four and 9 sixes in his inning.
Besides him, Suresh Raina scored 32 runs in just 13 balls and S Badrinath scored 31 runs in just 14 balls. It has been the highest team score in IPL for several years.
6. Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) Against Mumbai Indians

Before 248 in 2016, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers scored a huge total of 235 runs for Royal Challengers Banglore. At the fall of only one wicket, the duo of Virat and AB established a partnership of more than 200 runs.
In the match, AB de Villiers scored 133 runs in just 59 balls with the help of 19 fours and 4 sixes. On the contrary, Virat Kohli scored 82 runs in 50 balls. He smashed 6 fours and 4 sixes.

7. Mumbai Indians (MI) Against Sunrisers Hyderabad

Two years ago, Mumbai Indians youngsters Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav took their team to its highest total ever. With a great partnership of more than 150 runs, the duo established a massive total of 235 runs. However, Mumbai lost 9 wickets in the inning.
In the match, Ishan smashed 84 runs in just 34 balls and Suryakumar smashed 82 runs in just 40 balls. Apart from them, almost every player in the team added 10 to 15 runs in total. The match was against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In 2011, Preity Zinta’s Kings XI Punjab also scored one of the highest totals in IPL history. With the help of two Australian legends, Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh, the team reached an impressive total of 232 runs against Royal Challengers Banglore.
In the match, Gilchrist scored 106 runs in just 55 balls, including 8 fours and 9 sixes. On the other hand, Marsh hit 79 runs in 49 balls, including 7 fours and 5 sixes. Besides them, an Indian cricketer Paul Valthaty added 20 runs to the total.

Back in 2019, Kolkata Knight Riders superstar Andre Russell pulled his team to a massive total of 332 runs against the champion Mumbai Indians. The inning started with an impressive performance of openers Shubman Gill and Chris Lynn.
In that match, young Indian superstar Subhuman Gill scored 76 runs in only 45 balls. He shamed 6 fours and 4 sixes in his inning. Along with him, Chris Lynn scored 54 runs in 29 balls including 8 fours and 2 maximums.

In 2019, Sunrisers Hyderabad openers David Warner and Jonny Bairstow brutally smashed Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Banglore. With their huge partnership of more than 200 runs, the team established a target of 231 runs at the loss of only two wickets.
In that match, Jonny Bairstow scored 114 runs in only 56 balls, including 12 fours and 7 sixes. Besides him, David Warner scored a perfect century in just 55 balls. He smashed 5 fours and 5 sixes in his inning.
