Legal Trouble Begins for Republican George Santos

Now legal trouble begins for the newly elected Republican House of Representative George Santos. Federal and Local prosecutors are now investigating the fabricated details of his resume, which he provided during the time of the election campaign.

Now the U.S. attorney’s office in Brooklyn and the Nassau County N.Y. district attorney’s office looking into the fabricated information he provides during his campaign.

Anne dolly Nassau County district attorney said “No one is above the law, and if a crime was committed in this county, we will prosecute it.”

Both agencies are looking at the financial details he provided during his campaign. For his campaign, he loaned $700,000, which he said comes from his company Devolder Organization.

Investigation team are looking at his company’s financial dealings and it’s operations.

He has to provide information about his false claim that he earned money as a landlord.

The internal revenue department and New York & New Jersey attorney general offices also checked his philanthropic claim of running a  charity ‘Friends of Pets United’. They found that he is not the owner of this charity.

Mr. Santos later claimed that he is not the direct owner but working indirectly.

Now Mr. Santos’s biography was removed on Tuesday after New York Times published the investigation findings against him.

Many people voted for him in the congress member elections. Some people showed dismay against the elected republicans.

But no one from the republican congress members commented on George Santos’s false claims.

The only Republican who criticizes it is Tulsi Gabbard who said “These are blatant lies,” And it calls into question how your constituents and the American people can believe anything that you may say when you’re standing on the floor of the House of Representatives.”
