Lok Sabha Phase 1 Voting : Nearly 63 % In All 88 Seats, Tripura Tops The List In Voting Percent

An elector turnout of around 61% was kept in 88 voting public across 13 states and Association domains till 7pm in the second period of the Lok Sabha races 2024 on Friday.

“Surveying in the second period of General Races 2024 which started at 7 AM today all the while across 88 computers recorded an estimated citizen turnout of 60.96% starting around 7 PM,” the Political decision Commission said in a proclamation.

Tripura Ranks First In Lok Sabha Election Phase 2 Voting

The lone seat in Tripura up for grabs in this phase saw the highest turnout, with 77.93 percent, followed by the three seats in Chhattisgarh with 72.13 percent and the three seats in West Bengal with 71.84 percent.

Seventy-six percent of people cast their ballots in Manipur’s thirteen polling places, while 70.66 percent cast their ballots in Assam’s seats until five o’clock.

Less Voting In Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh, at least 54.83% of voters in the six constituencies that participated in the second phase of the election cast their ballots. Till 5 pm, Hoshangabad recorded a citizen turnout of 63.44%, trailed by Tikamgarh at 57.19%, Satna at 57.18 %, Damoh at 53.66%, Khajuraho at 52.91% and Rewa at 45.02%, a Political decision Commission official told the Press Trust of India.

In Kerala, polling for all 20 Lok Sabha constituencies ended at 6 p.m., with a provisional voter turnout of more than 67.27%. Even though voting officially ended at 6 p.m., there were long lines outside polling places all over the state, so the final turnout percentage is likely to be higher.
