Iran and Israel Attack Update: A Mass of Drones and Missiles Fired by Iran

Amid the rising tension between Israel and Iran, there is a large escalation between Iran and Israel. Israel on 1st April attacked the Iranian consulate in Syria and killed its 3 generals.

The rally of the missile attack launched by Iran at Israel in the weekend. It launched several missiles and drones from its soil toward Israel and its air base. Israel tightened security and intercepted every security that came in its way.

What is the Iranian Strategy to Attack on the Israel?

An Iranian war strategy is to weaken the Israel defense system which has the capacity to intercept the missiles from the enemy sides.  Iran launched cruise missiles and drones to saturate their defense system and make the way for their ballistic missiles.

100s of drones and missiles launched by Iran, and its supporting groups from other countries attacked cumulatively on Israel. In the retaliatory attack, the 7-year-old girl was severely injured by the shrapnel, the girl is from the Bedouin village in Israel’s southern Negev desert and was still fighting for her life on Monday.

How Many Missiles and Drones Were Launched on This Attack?

The Israel Defense Force stated that 170 drones were shot from Iran. Dozens of the drones were shot dead by the Israel Air Force. US aircraft shot dead atleast more than 70 drones.

Iran used its recently launched high-tech developed Kheibar Shekan Ballistic missiles and Emad Missiles for attack that can carry 1,600 pounds. The cruise missiles that were used were Paveh missiles, which were capable of attacking the target from multiple directions.

Of the 120 ballistic missiles launched by Iran to attack the Israeli air base Nevatim, only 5-6 ballistic missiles were successfully able to target the F-35 ( A fighter plane that attacked on the Iran consulate), one of the missiles hit near the base runway, while two laned in open area cause minor damage.

One of the IDF spokespersons Daniel Hagari said on Monday “ All this damage will be repaired in the coming days”.

Many of the attacks were made in Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon and none of those missiles crossed Israel’s territory. Israel attacks the Hezbollah base in Lebanon.
