Finding Relevant Reels on Facebook Has Been Made Easier As Facebook Reels continue to gain popularity, Meta has implemented additional tools to make it easier for you to find short-form video content that suits your interests.

Facebook has updated the way Reels are surfaced in Facebook Watch, making it simpler for you to find them throughout the app.

Reels have been added to Facebook Watch’s top-level main navigation, providing rapid access to artists, trends, and material that jive with your interests.

Additionally, you can now smoothly scroll between Reels and long-form videos while watching videos on Facebook.

Customize Your Experience

More control over the Reels you see on the app is what Facebook wants to give you. The following features have been included in order to assist personalize your experience:

Show More, Show Less

You may now choose which types of Reels you want to see more or less of by touching the three-dot option at the bottom of the movie player.

You can do this to explore your current interests while also learning about future interests, creators, and communities you’ll appreciate.

The Show Less option will temporarily lower a Reel’s ranking score while momentarily raising it for that Reel and Reels similar to it. Reel ranking will get smarter and more responsive to your choices with the assistance of your direct input.

Facebook has also introduced a new feature on the Reels video player that offers contextual labels in an effort to explain why specific Reels are being displayed to you. You will notice a label describing why something is on your feed, for instance, if a friend of yours loved it.

Contextual Labels

With the aid of this feature, you will be better able to assess the relevancy of the Reels you are viewing and have a deeper understanding of your customized Reels feed.

When the news was announced, Facebook shared:

Facebook enables you to find people, information, and activities that suit your interests and encourage growth and exploration. Reels are also becoming more social as users share them more than 2 billion times daily across our applications, doubling over the previous six months.

In order to make the films you view more relevant, we’re introducing new personalization controls for Reels that let you choose what you want to watch more or less of.
