In 2014, Facebook decided to divide Facebook and Messenger in order to highlight Messenger as a communications platform. According to Mark Zuckerburg, CEO of Meta, the decision will improve the user experience.
Several people disagreed with the company’s decision, but they eventually accepted the changes.

Nevertheless, it looks as if things may change now that Facebook is reportedly working on making it possible to access your messenger inbox from within the Facebook app. The well-known social media researcher Matt Navarra recently tweeted that the internet company is now inviting users to test the most recent Facebook chat experience.
Facebook is bringing Messenger chat features back in-app
In 2014, Facebook turned off in-app chat features and launched Messenger as a separate app.
But in-app chat features are coming back.

In a recent blog post Facebook said that it has plans to further integrate Facebook’s messaging feature, but it did not clarify what these features are or when they will be introduced to the platform.
Users could be able to access their Messenger inbox by simply swiping right from the Facebook app home screen once Messenger is integrated with Facebook.
