Facebook Extended Reels duration, Check Here

The maximum length of reels that can be posted on Facebook’s platforms has been extended. Reels, or short vertical videos, can now be published by users and last up to 90 seconds. The duration of reels was previously limited to 60 seconds on Meta-owned social media networks.

Facebook has recently adopted the 90-second limit reel length that Meta implemented a few months ago. The extra 30 seconds should give creators more freedom to create engaging reels. It is still shorter than TikTok’s 10-minute video restriction, which is the longest on any vertical video platform at the time.

Facebook made Some More Changes

In addition to this change, Facebook has made a number of smaller changes to the reels platform. With only a few clicks, users can quickly and easily create reels using memories and pre-built templates. Reels are currently Meta’s fastest-growing content type, attracting both viewers and content creators.

Platforms like TikTok (banned in India), YouTube Shorts, reels on Instagram, Facebook, and a lot of other apps that are especially designed to give vertical short-form content optimized for smartphones are just a few of the platforms where short-form content is gaining popularity.

A user doesn’t have to spend as much time watching a video as they would with a traditional video (horizontal format). Additionally, many short video platforms allow content creators to use licensed music, which offers them an advantage in creating interesting videos.
