YouTuber Creates Self Balancing KTM Bike But With One Wheel

Like we say, life is all about balancing and so the motorcycles but can you balance a bike on one wheel. No, we are not talking about doing a bike stunt. A man has modified a KTM motorcycle and the result is a self-balancing bike which is completely surprising.

It has only one wheel and that is at the center, a seat, and gears for riding.  Curious to know how does it look?

Meet the Man Behind This One-Wheel Self-Balancing Bike

The creator behind this self-balancing bike is Shivam Maurya, a YouTuber and science enthusiast. He makes such unique electrical and electronic gadgets which he posts on his channel ‘Creative Science‘.

One such invention is this KTM motorcycle he made with the use of pipes, a fuel tank, bike frames, and the rest of the bike accessories. He separately created each piece of the bike and then installed it all to make this one-wheel KTM motorcycle. After that, it was painted with orange and white colors to give it a real feel and finish the complete product.

To power the vehicle, batteries were used, and also a fake headlamp was attached to the front. At first, it seems difficult to drive the bike because of its structure. But, he showed how easy is to balance this KTM.

For this, a sensor is used to balance the bike which is then connected with the cables to the throttle. Talking about its speed and performance, it may not give competition to powerful KTM and other bikes but this half-KTM is pretty good to give a shot if you want to DIY bike at home.

This is not the first time YouTuber has made a self-balancing bike; his earlier inventions include a one-wheeled scooter. However, if we talk about real self-balancing motorcycles, they use two wheels and come with gyroscopes to balance without the help of the rider.

In India, this is still a dream but a prototype is already developed by two IITians under their startup Liger mobility that works in changing the dynamics of two-wheelers in India without costing much to customers.
