HIV reacts differently to different kinds of people. Everyone does not observe the same set of symptoms in all stages of HIV and may not recognize any sign for a long time. However, the symptoms of HIV are mostly the same in men and women.

What Are The Stages of HIV And Its Symptoms In Men?
Stage 1: Acute HIV Infection
After 2 to 4 weeks of HIV infection, 67% of people will feel ill. It is the body’s natural reaction to HIV. This illness may include symptoms are:
- Fever
- Rash
- Muscle aches
- Fatigue
- Mouth ulcers
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Sore throat
- Night sweats
- Chills
You can feel them in a few days after the infection or after several weeks. Some people do not feel any of them in this early stage of HIV.

Stage 2: Clinical Latency
The virus starts multiplying in this second stage of HIV. People do not have any HIV symptoms or feel sick in it. This stage is also known as Chronic HIV infection. People can stay for 10 to 15 years in this stage without any treatment. But some people may pass this stage faster.
If you take care of yourself exactly as prescribed by a doctor and keep an undetectable viral load, you can protect yourself from it. It also reduces the risk of transmission while having sex. But your viral load is detectable during this stage, you can transmit HIV.

Stage 3: AIDS
If you are infected with HIV and do not get treatment, the virus will progress to AIDS. This is the last stage of HIV infection that weakens your immune system. HIV cause various symptoms in men that leads them to AIDS. These symptoms include:
- Rapid weight loss
- Unexplained and extreme tiredness
- Sores at the mouth, genitals and anus
- Pneumonia
- Pink, red, brown or purplish blotches on the skin or inside the mouth, nose or eyelids.
- Profuse night sweats or recurring fever
- Swelling on the lymph glands in the armpits, neck or groin
- Diarrhea for more than a weak
- Depression, memory loss and other neurological disorders
