PM Narendra Modi on September 18 will initiate the aggressive 108-foot-high ‘Sculpture of Unity of Acharya Shankar in Madhya Pradesh’s Omkareshwar, authorities mindful of the matter said, adding the PM will likewise address a convention of Hindu monks.
The construction of the Statue of Oneness, a museum devoted to Shankaracharya, and an International Advaita Vedanta Sansthan at Omkareshwar received approval from the Madhya Pradesh cabinet for a total of 2,141 crore rupees.
CM Shivraj Singh Announced Ekatm Dham
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in 2021 had announced an exhibition hall and instructive establishment under Omkareshwar Ekatm Dham, featuring the commitment of Advaita Vedanta reasoning. The task configuration was settled in January 2022.
Project To Be Completed By 2026
The Madhya Pradesh cabinet approved 2,141 crore for Omkareshwar’s International Advaita Vedanta Sansthan, the Statue of Oneness, and a museum devoted to Shankaracharya. The project is to be finished by 2026 and the BJP-drove state government is getting the sculpture introduced before the state gathering political race due to this colder time of year.
Statue Off Shankaracharya Height will Be Placed On 75 Feet Lotus
The sculpture is comprised of bronze and the internal body is of top-notch tempered steel. In the first phase, Project Architect Kaushlendra Singh stated that the company will finish building the statue by September 10, which is at least three weeks ahead of schedule. The statue will be placed on a 75-foot-tall lotus.
Painters and Sculptors Selected To Create Designs
Acharya Shankar’s painting was created by Mumbai-based famous painter Vasudev Kamat to ensure authenticity, and eleven renowned Indian sculptors were selected to create statue designs. From those, they were chosen to make greater sculptures. Stone carver Bhagwan Rampure arranged the last sculpture plan,” the designer said.
