Mumbai rains: Mumbai witnessed its first rain of the season, along with a strong dust storm that darkened the sky around 3 pm today. The rain brought relief to the residents of Mumbai and its surrounding areas from the heat but the sky of the metropolis remained surrounded by dusty winds.
The sudden change in weather caused traffic to stop as passengers took shelter during the storm.

IMD’s alert today
The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) issued a yellow alert for Thane, Palghar, Raigarh, Solapur, Latur, Beed, Nagpur, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts. There is a possibility of lightning and thunderstorm at isolated places in these areas.
Meanwhile, an orange alert has been issued for Pune, Satara, Sangli, Nashik, Kolhapur, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Jalna and Parbhani districts.
