Everything in the city will get energy from the sun and for this, around Rs 1.46 Crore is being invested. Sanchi will not have green trees but rather clean trees powered by solar energy.

A solar project capable of supplying 8MW of electricity to the entire city will be implemented. Also, the city will get two charging stations each worth Rs 15 Lakhs.

One of them will be at Gateway Retreat of MP Tourism and another one will be near the Sanchi Stupa. Four solar trees will supply solar energy to the city. It will cost additional Rs 20 Lakhs to install the trees.

The first project of the solar city will take a time period of six months.

Mr. Dandotiya said that a target of 500MW is kept for Madhya Pradesh which it will achieve certainly. And this will be done under the Kusum ‘A’ scheme in which every farmer who established a plant capable of supplying electricity between 500 KW to 2 MG will get a regular income.

However, they should first get themselves registered to receive this benefit. Also, the plant should be set up on barren land.
