Ujjwala Scheme : Centre Approves 75 Lakhs Free Connection, Allocates Rs 1,650 Crores

As part of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), the Union Cabinet approved a budget allocation of 1,650 crore for the distribution of 75 lakh free cooking gas connections. The third phase of the eCourts project, which will cost 7,210 crore rupees, was also approved by the Cabinet.

Anurag Thakur, minister of information and broadcasting, informed the media following the Cabinet meeting that the eCourts project would be a central sector initiative that would be in place for four years beginning in 2023.

The eCourts Stage 3 or Ujjwala Scheme targets bringing simplicity of equity by moving towards advanced, on-the-web, and paperless courts through digitization of the whole court records including heritage records, and by getting universalization of e-documenting/e-installments through immersion of all court buildings with eSewa Kendras.

It will set up shrewd savvy frameworks empowering information decision-making for judges and vaults while booking or focusing on cases. The creation of a unified technology platform for the judiciary, which will provide a paperless and seamless interface between the courts, litigants, and other stakeholders, is the primary goal of Phase III.

Cabinet Approved The Extension Of Ujjwala Scheme Till 2026

The union cabinet likewise supported the expansion of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme (PMUY) for the arrival of 75 lakh LPG associations more than a long time from the monetary year 2023-24 to 2025-26 with an extra cost of ₹1,650 crore.

Can Refill Cylinders 12 Times In Year

As per the existing modalities of Ujjwala 2.0, the first refill and stove will also be provided free of cost to Ujjwala Scheme beneficiaries. A targeted subsidy of Rs.200 per 14.2 kg LPG cylinder for up to 12 refills per year is being provided to PMUY consumers. Recently, the union cabinet approved a reduction of ₹200 in LPG connections across the country.
