Skoda Enyaq iV India Will Be Launch By 2024 March

Skoda is finally introducing its first electric vehicle for sale in India, Enyaq iV, this year. Skoda plans to use the Enyag iV to test the market and then decide on the future perspective of its electric vehicle.

Company’s Statement

“We will start with the Enyaq which we will bring in the current fiscal year and would like to test the market,” stated Petr Solc, brand director, of Skoda Auto India in a recent interaction. “While rival brands like Hyundai, Kia, Tata, and Mahindra have introduced at least one EV in India,” Skoda is yet to enter the EV market. If the market is favorable, we will determine how to introduce additional EV models.”

The Enyaq iV is an all-electric SUV based on the VW group MEB born-electric platform, which also underpins the likes of the Volkswagen Q4 and Audi Q64 etron crossovers. Measuring 4,648mm long and 1,877mm wide, the Enyaq iV is only slightly smaller than skoda kodiaq but it is strictly a 5-seat SUV with two rows of seats.

  • While Enyaq iV has imported a number of prototypes with various power outputs.
  • The Enyaq iV 80x, which features a 77kWh battery that supports up to 125kW DC fast charging, is the model that is typically seen on tests.
  • The iV 80x can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and has a WLTP-rated range of up to 513 km.
  • This is the most elevated powertrain determination and accompanies double engines, one on every pivot, giving it AWD capacity and a sum of 265hp.

Volkswagen India has been testing the ID 4 SUV, which shares the same underpinnings as the Enyaq, for the better part of a year now. However, its launch is yet to be greenlit by Volkswagen’s global headquarters, and this is likely to be confirmed by May.
