Rare Snake Spotted After 82 Years: Photos Are Getting Viral Online

Photo of a rare  Red Coral Kukri- snake is getting viral on social media these days. This snake was seen a few days ago in Dudhwa National Park of Lakhimpur Kheri, UP. A staff member took a picture of this red snake. Later  shared it on Twitter by Wildlife Conservation and Tourism Organization Wildlane.

It is being told that this snake was first seen in Dudhwa in 1936. Its zoological name is ““oligodon Kheriensis“. This  brightly colored snake has a rare size. It was first seen after 82 years. Indian Forest Service officer Ramesh Pandey says that the red coral cookery snake has been seen four times in a few years.

Sharing this picture, Wildlance wrote thatNational Park is full of diversity and surprises. Red coral kukri snake, a very rare snake’... today evening after rain near staff cottage.

“It is after almost 82 years that this species has been rediscovered in Dudhwa forests,” said Field Director, DTR, Ramesh Kumar Pandey.

The picture of this rare snake is becoming very viral on social media. Experts say that these snakes are not poisonous. They only eat insects and worms. It gets its name from its red orange color and its teeth.
