The country’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric has finally officially launched its first electric motorcycle range Ola Roadster in the domestic market after a long wait. The Roadster Series of Electric Bikes includes three different variants. These include 1. Roadster X, 2. Roadster, and 3. Roadster Pro. All three electric motorcycles are equipped with different battery packs and promise a variable power output and running range. The starting price of the base model of this bike range i.e. Ola Roadster X has been fixed at just Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom).
About Ola Roadster Bike
- Two battery packs in Ola Roadster – The Ola Roadster Pro is available with two different battery pack options. Its base version gets an 8 kWh battery pack, while the top-end model comes with a 16 kWh battery pack. The 8 kWh battery pack charges from 0-100 percent in 3.7 hours using a 2.2 kW home charger, while the larger 16 kWh battery pack takes 7.5 hours to charge from 0-100 percent using a 2.2 kW home charger.
- Touchscreen Display – The Ola Roadster Pro electric motorcycle gets a 10-inch touchscreen TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The display shows detailed information about the motorcycle, while several functions and features can be accessed from the panel.
- Great Power – The Ola Roadster Pro is powered by an electric motor, which is the most powerful among all the Roadster series electric motorcycles from the brand. This motor is capable of delivering 70 bhp of peak power irrespective of the battery pack options. This electric motorcycle comes with four different ride modes – Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco.
- Range – The Ola Roadster Pro electric motorcycle is claimed to offer a claimed range of up to 579 km on a single charge. The variant with the 8 kWh battery pack claims to be capable of running up to 316 km on a single full charge, while the model equipped with the larger battery pack promises to run up to 579 km on a single charge.
- Top Speed - The smaller battery pack version of the Ola Roadster Pro is capable of running at a maximum speed of 154 mph, while the 16 kWh battery pack version is claimed to run at a top speed of 194 mph.
Ola Roadster Series Price
Talking about the entry-level variant Roadster X, this model comes in three battery packs 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh. Which are priced at Rs 74,999, Rs 84,999 and Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) respectively. At the same time, the mid variant i.e. Roadster has also been introduced with three different battery packs of 3 kWh, 4.5kWh and 6kWh. Whose price is Rs 1,04,999, Rs 1,19,999, and Rs 1,39,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
Apart from this, the company has introduced the higher variant i.e. Roadster Pro with only two battery packs 8kWh and 16kWh. Whose price is Rs 1,99,999 and Rs 2,49,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) respectively.
Booking and Delivery
Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Ola Electric, says that the booking of all these bikes has been officially started. It can be booked from the company’s official website. Apart from this, the company is planning to start the delivery of Roadster X and Roadster from January next year. On the other hand, bookings for the Roadster Pro will start by Q4 FY26.
