Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the facelift version of its most famous sedan car Dezire which is going to be launched on 11th November. The fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Dezire will be based on the company’s hatchback Maruti Swift platform. But the design of this car is very different. The car will be launched with sunroof, 6 airbags as standard and many segment first features.
The company is going to launch this sedan car in the market in 5 variants – LXI, VXI, VXI(O), ZXI, and ZXI+. The ex-showroom price of the updated model is expected to start from RS 6.99 lakh. Currently, the price of Dezire starts at RS 6.57 lakh (ex-showroom).
New dezire: design
The 4th generation model of Maruti Suzuki Dezire will be quite different from Swift in terms of design. Its look and style can be changed in such a way that it looks completely different from Swift. It may have a wide grill and full LED lamps in its front. Apart from this, the bonnet can be long and flat. The new Dezire is expected to be launched with multi-spoke alloy wheels.
New dezire: interior
The new generation Dezire will get an all-new dashboard layout with a black and white dual-tone theme, which is inspired by the Swift facelift, Forex, Baleno and Brezza. It will get a new dashboard layout with a 9.0-inch floating infotainment system, sleek AC vents and HVAC controls at the bottom.
Apart from this, the car has wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car technology, more than 40 connected car features, wireless charger, semi-digital cluster with 4.2-inch MID, steering wheel mounted controls, automatic climate control, push-button start. Rear parking camera with sensors and much more will be available.
New dezire: performance
The biggest upgrade in the new Dezire will be seen in its powertrain. The K12 four-cylinder petrol engine available in its existing models has now been replaced by the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine in the Z-series. Which you get in the new Swift. This engine generates power of 82hp and torque of 112Nm.
In comparison, the current model generates 90hp and 113Nm power, which is less than 8hp and 1Nm. For transmission in the new Swift, the option of 5-speed manual and automatic (AMT) gearbox is going to be seen with the engine.
