Devotees participate in a variety of rituals to honor the goddess in all of her manifestations, demonstrating devotion and a sense of community at this event. On the tenth day, the festivities come to a close with Dussehra (Vijaya Dashami), a significant event that celebrates the triumph of good over evil.

Day 5, like the other days of Navratri, is dedicated to Skandamata, Lord Kartikeya's mother and another manifestation of Goddess Durga. It is said that while Maa Skandamata is carrying her son, Lord Kartikeya, she receives favors from him.

Most people think that Mata Skandmata is the Devi with four hands and baby Kartikeya on her lap. She looks like she's on a lion's back. Wealth, wisdom, and salvation are bestowed upon her followers by Maa Skandamata.

Puja Vidhi Of Mata Skandamata

  • The ritual calls for taking a bath, dressing in clean clothes, and offering bhog to the goddess.
  • The only thing you need to perform the puja is a goddess image or idol that has been cleansed with Gangajal.
  • As offerings, Deepam, sacred water, flowers, and food (Prasad) should be given.
  • In addition to six cardamoms, you can offer the goddess a banana or other fruit.
