First Females To Clinch Milestones In Various Fields

“A Woman Is Not Just A Word, A Woman Is A World And They Know How To Rule And Change The World. “ They have been doing since history when only males were supposed to be great rulers and world leaders. Growing against all the odds, those women have brought fruitful changes in society and have laid benchmarks for others. On this International Women Day, we are saluting influential and first-ever females in the world who succeded in several fields.

Climbing The Highest Peak Of World

Height can be a barrier for the orthodox society but it cannot stop a strong woman to fulfill her dreams. Japanese mountaineer Junko Tabei is an example of strong will, dedication, and inspiration for all the young mountaineers.

She established a female-centric mountaineering club after getting rejected by male mountaineers of the club that she had joined at an early stage of her career. She climbed Mt. Everest in 1975 and didn’t stop there. She even became the first woman to climb seven summits across the globe in 1992.

First Woman In Space

Not just on earth, females have shown their power in space as well. Russia’s Valentina Tereshkova is the first to show the world that even a woman can go to space. Since then, the world is seeing many female cosmonauts setting benchmarks out of the earth.

Politics Is Not Just A Man’s Game

There was a time in history when only male politicians and leaders were dominating and only a few females were in the lead. Well, their sacrifice cannot be forgotten but none of them became the front face of any country.

Sri Lanka’s Sirimavo Bandaranaike was the first in the world who was elected as PM. She served the nation thrice during her office term from 1994 to 2000. And the first female president of any country was from Argentine, Isabel Peroon who served as a president from 1974 to 1976.

Woman In Sports

No matter it’s a cricket ground, boxing ring, or football ground, Women have shown that even they can be star players. From Serena Williams to Sania Mirza, many have grabbed the title of World No. 1 however it was not the case decades ago.

In 1900 female athletes made their debut in Olympic Games. Lawn tennis and golf were the first games in which female players were seen. The first to win any sport event was a tennis player from England, Charlotte Copper. Since then, many female players have made history in Olympics. India’s Dhing Express Hima Das is one such proud athlete of the country.

Do you know who the first lady to get a pilot license was? It’s France Raymonde De laroche and not just license woman can fly across the world, even fly fighter jets, and commercial airplane.
