4 Steps To Bake Yule Log Cake
Sponge Cake-

Ingredients:
- Eggs- 6
- All-purpose flour- half cup
- Cocoa powder- quarter cup
- Sugar- 1 cup
- Kosher salt- 1/4 tsp
- Baking powder- 1 tsp
- Vanilla extract- 1 and a half tspn
- Vegetable oil- 2 tsps
Mix all the dry ingredients except eggs in a large bowl. Add some baking soda to make the cake nice and fluffy.
Separately whip the egg whites and yolks. Add vanilla extract , oil, and sugar to the egg yolks and whip until it gets thick. Transfer the egg white mix into the yolks and then to the cake batter. Now transfer it to a cake pan and bake at 350 degree in preheated oven.

Shape The Cake

Once the yule log cake is baked, get ready for the tough task of rolling. Begin with dusting a kitchen towel with sugar(powdered). You can even use a parchment paper for rolling.
Flip the bake cake onto the paper or towel whichever you are using and tightly roll it. Leave for cooling and meanwhile make the cake filling.

- Cold heavy cream- 1 cup or 240 ml
- Powdered sugar- 1/4 cup
- Vanilla extract- 1 tsp
- Kosher salt
- Gelatin- 2 tsp
Gelatin is completely optional but if you are using it then keep microwave the gelatin powder in the cold water for 5 minutes.
Whip the other ingredients in a bowl and then add gelatin. Mix well and put in the refrigerator.
Unroll the yule log cake and fill the whipped cream evenly. Roll back the cake with the help of towel and again refrigerate it to set in the shape.

- vanilla extract- 1 tsp
- Powdered sugar- 1 and a half cup
- Cocoa powder- 5 tbsp
- Heavy cream- 3 tbsp
- Chocolate curls and cranberries
Beat the butter and then dry ingredients. Later add the remaining ingredients like cream and vanilla.
Spread the frosting on the yule log cake and give it the real texture of log using a fork. Garnish with cranberries and chocolate curls. Dust with sugar and it’s done.
