Will Virat Kohli make a comeback in T20 World Cup? Great news for Cricket Fans

Virat Kohli

In the latest developments and according to reliable sources close to the BCCI, Virat Kohli is all set to be a part of the Indian team when the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 starts from June. Firstly, it was being said that Kohli would not be flying to the USA and West Indies for the tournament, given the fact that his style of play might not suit the conditions.

However, after seeing his form in the ongoing IPL 2024, where he currently leads the run-scoring charts, it is almost confirmed that the 35-year-old will be included in the 15-man squad. According to a Cricbuzz report, BCCI is now hell-bent on including Virat Kohli in India’s T20 World Cup squad for 2024.

Virat Kohli Comeback

Probably, it will all depend on who performs better in the ongoing IPL. After that, world number 1 T20 batsman Suryakumar Yadav comes at number 3, probably followed by Virat Kohli. There are many options for the wicketkeeper slot. But, if needed, Rishabh Pant may get a place in the team. Pant will face competition from Dhruv Jurel, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson. If Pant plays in the XI then one of the above three will be the reserve keeper.

All-rounders will be Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dubey and Ravindra Jadeja. Rinku Singh will play the role of finisher. The specialist spinner will be Kuldeep Yadav. Ravi Bishnoi has a chance to make a place in the team as a specialist reserve spinner.
