WhatsApp Rolled Out Its New Feature; Access One Account On Multiple Phones

WhatsApp

WhatsApp has publicized the launch of the most significant feature for Android as well as iOS.

It has rolled out the ability to use one WhatsApp account on different phones. To date, people were only capable of using one account on multiple devices such as desktops and laptops, but not phones.

However, this will alter with the newest update. Here is the detail you must know. People can now move to another phone without signing out using one WhatsApp account and choose chats where they were left.

Along with this, if you are an owner of a small business, any of your employees will be capable of replying to customers directly from their phones under the same business account.

You can link your phone to about four additional devices, exactly similar to linking your App on web browsers, tablets, and desktops. The process of association is quite the same as the process of connecting your one WhatsApp account to multiple devices.

The multi-device sharing feature will be accessible on App’s main page> settings section> linked devices. You can just tap on ‘link a device’ and go through the instructions on the screen to authorize the feature.

You have to enter your phone number on WhatsApp Web to get a one-time code, which you can use on your phone to permit device linking, instead of scanning a QR code. You can follow these steps to scan a QR code

Step 1: Go to WhatsApp on your phone.

Step 2: Tap on More Options

Step 3: Click on Linked Devices.

Step 4: Select ‘Link a device

Step 5: Unlock your primary phone.

Step 6: Show your primary phone on the screen of the device you have to link and scan the QR code.

The Privacy Concerns

As per the company, every linked device connects to WhatsApp independently, and the personal messages, media, and calls of a user are purely end-to-end encrypted.

“If the primary device is not active for a long period of time, the App automatically logs you out of all subsidiary devices,” the company further stated.

WhatsApp has publicized that it has initiated introducing the newest multi-device sharing update to users over the globe and that it will be accessible to everyone in the coming weeks.
