WhatsApp Messenger, most popular messaging faced a global outage with numbers of users helpless to send or receive messages on Tuesday night.
WhatsApp has approximately 1.5 billion users. The whatsapp application went down at around 11:30 pm IST, which was thereafter approved by outage tracker down detector.
The outage was faced on diverse platforms including iPhone and Android, with some affected users reportedly unable to also log in to WhatsApp.
Users immediately took to Twitter to report about the issue.
