Offbeat weddings with fantasy themes have been all the fury this season. After Potterheads dreamed up a Harry Potter themed engagement, a couple in Kerala inspired wedding card to invite created a buzz on the internet.
Even Shashi Tharoor noted on their intelligence. Now it is a couple in Surat that is making storms for a quirky wedding invite.
When Surat-based web-designer Chintan Desai got hooked to Arzoo, the duo promised to make an idiosyncratic and intriguingly offbeat wedding invite. Well, what tells millennial more than WhatsApp? So a WhatsApp themed card it was!
The wedding card has a yellow cover with the words, “Unlock invitation”. The feature picture is couple’s photo and the “status” of the wedding invite says, “You are obligated to attend our wedding else you will be blocked on WhatsApp”. Take a closer look:

“In place of the WhatsApp logo, we used Ganesh Ji’s photo, which gives a traditional touch to our invitation,” says the bride-to-be.
The four-page wedding card was deliberately made by Chintan and it took around seven days to create it. The groom credits his fiance for the idea.
In fact, the parents of the groom and the bride quite like this invite. As per NDTV, Chintan’s father Pradip said;
“We have to keep up with the new generation. When they showed me the card, I really liked it, so approved it.”
