On-field visuals from the third day of Ind vs NZ Test Series are doing rounds on the internet. Umpire Nitin Menon and Ravichandran Ashwin are the reason behind it which even dragged head coach Rahul Dravid and Captain Ajinkya Rahane.
Ind Vs NZ Test: What Happened Between R.Ashwin And Nitin Menon?
It all began when Ashwin changed his bowling style as soon as Kane Williamson came to the field. His follow-through blocked the umpire’s view and it did not happen once but multiple times. Nitin interrupted Ashiwn saying you are blocking the view, how would I see the LBW. To which, Ashwin replied, you are not giving out anyway.

Earlier, Ashwin claimed LBW when Tom Latham was batting but the umpire did call it as Not Out. To this, Nitin replied he could not see it due to Ashwin’s bowling style. Later, he changed his bowling style which again troubled the umpire. This is when a verbal argument started between the two.

When the situation got out of control, head coach Rahul Dravid had to intervene. He discussed Ashiwn’s action with the match referee. The entire thing captured everyone’s attention including fans and even Aakash Chopra has reacted to the issue.
There’s no merit in distracting the umpire. Yes, you have the DRS. But the impact of an ‘umpire’s call’ must never be taken lightly.
