Senior Indian journalist Vinod Dua dies on Saturday, 4th December 2021. He was hospitalized in the Apollo Hospital in Delhi. His daughter Mallika Dua is the first one to confirm the death via a social media platform.
She wrote, “our irreverent, fearless, and extraordinary father, Vinod Dua has passed away.” Mallika further informed that her father would be cremated tomorrow at Lodhi Crematorium.
Mr. Dua was infected with the covid-19 virus earlier this year following which he was admitted to one of the hospitals in Gurugram. His wife Padmavati was also infected with the same. She passed a few months ago and since then Vinod Dua was facing health issues.
The 67-years old was one of the famous journalists of India and was known for the show ‘The Vinod Dua show.’ He had worked with a few of the biggest news channels- Doordarshan and NDTV. Dua was honored with several awards, among which major ones are the fourth-highest civilian award-Padma Shri.
In 1996, he received the Ramnath Goenka Excellence Award. Dua was the first journalist from electronic media to be honored with this award.
