If you are experiencing varicose veins symptoms, then self-care or home remedies can’t work in this case. You need to see a doctor immediately.

The doctor will ask you some questions about pain, swelling aching, etc. After it, he will recommend you a test called Doppler ultrasound. It is a noninvasive test that uses sound waves to check blood flow through the valves of the veins. It can help detect the blood clot.

After seeing the result, the doctor will tell you the next procedure. He will tell you about some set of exercises or things to avoid and recommend you wear compression shocks. It’s the first approach. If any of this didn’t work out, he will ask you for some surgeries and other procedure that includes:

  1. Sclerotherapy
  2. Laser treatment
  3. Catheter-based procedure using radiofrequency
  4. Ambulatory phlebectomy
  5. High ligation and vein stripping
