Ukraine Cabinet Officials Killed in Plane Crash Near Kyiv

A Ukraine plane crashed near a kindergarten outside Kyiv on Wednesday. The plane carried Ukraine’s cabinet top officials.

The plane carried Ukraine interior minister Denys Monastyrsky, his deputy Yevhen Yehin, and State secretary Yurii Lubkovych, who died in the crash.

All of the 9 onboard were killed in the plane crash. Atleast 16 people died in the crash.

The total number of people who died is still not clear as police and emergency department searching for more bodies.

According to the national police head, Ihor Klymenko said that an Emergency services helicopter crashed in Brovary, a suburb about 15 miles northeast of the capital.

The incident of the plane crash happened, near the one-year mark of the Russia and Ukraine war.

According to the national police head, Ihor Klymenko said that Emergency services helicopter crashed in Brovary, a suburb about 15 miles northeast of the capital.

The helicopter crashed near a kindergarten and a residential building in Brovary. Atleast 30 people including 12 children were being treated in hospitals.

Regional Ministry Administration Oleskii Kuleba said that “At the time of the tragedy, children and employees of the institution were in the kindergarten. At this point, everyone was evacuated.”

At the time of the plane crash, children were present at the kindergarten.

Ukrainian officials shared videos that show flames bursting from the building of the crash site.

A senior police official in the Kharkiv region said that the helicopter was due to travel to the area in the country’s northeast when it crashed.

The Cause of the Ukraine Plane Crash

Ukraine Security Services said in its statement that they are considering three possible causes for the crash that includes malfunction, a violation of flight rules, or “deliberate actions to destroy the vehicle.”

Ukraine Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal ordered a special commission to lead an investigation into the incident.

Yurii Ihnat spokesperson for Ukraine’s Air Force Command said that  “It is too early to talk about the causes of the crash.” And commission would include a number of aviation experts.

Many Officials Paying Tribute to the People Who Died in a Plane Crash

Recently Russia attack a residential building in the eastern city of Dnipro with a missile that killed atleast 45 people and six children over the weekend.
