Tajikistan Earthquake: Turkey’s Earthquake hasn’t even passed yet and one more has arrived just within a few days. Tajikistan got tumbled after massive earthquakes hit the eastern part of the country. The shockwaves of magnitude 6.8 were recorded 67km West of Murghob, Tajikistan. Murghob city has a population of around 10,815 and the damage massive earthquake can severely impact the lives and properties nearby.

The Tajikistan earthquake first appeared with a magnitude of 6.8 early morning at 2023-02-23 06:07:40 (UTC+05:30). The country later felt more such shockwaves after the first massive one.

The epicenter of the earthquake lies near a small mountain town Murghob. According to the agency, “little or no population” is now exposed to the earthquake’s damage. The region hit by the earthquake is surrounded by Lake Sarez which formed in 1911 due to an earthquake.
