Affordable Volkswagen and Skoda cars are finally getting the attention Indian buyers have been waiting for, and this time, it looks serious. After testing success with models like the Kushaq, Taigun, Slavia and Virtus, both brands are now planning multiple new launches and facelifts aimed at value-focused buyers. From compact SUVs to refreshed sedans, here is a look at six affordable Skoda and Volkswagen cars launching soon.

These upcoming models highlight the brands’ growing focus on localisation, better feature packages and competitive pricing to appeal to a wider set of Indian customers.

The Skoda Kushaq is due for a mid-life update and the facelift is expected to arrive sometime in 2026. While the overall shape will remain familiar, the SUV is likely to get sharper front and rear styling, new alloy wheels and a few cabin upgrades. Engine options are expected to stay unchanged with the same 1.0-liter and 1.5 liter turbo petrol units on offer.

Besides cosmetic updates, Skoda may also increase feature availability across models, especially regarding infotainment and safety. The facelift is expected to help the Kushaq stay competitive in a segment where rivals receive frequent updates.

The Skoda Slavia sedan will get a facelift, expected to come around mid-2026. This update will include subtle changes to the exterior, improved interior features and possibly new safety technologies. Likely, the Kushaq, the Slavia is expected to continue with their tried and tested turbo petrol engines.

The Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to focus on improving cabin comfort and quality. This could make it more appealing to buyers who still prefer sedans over SUVs. Minor design changes will refresh the sedan’s look without altering its main identity.

The Skoda Kylaq is the brand’s most affordable SUV offering and targets the highly competitive sub 4 metre segment. Designed specifically for India, the Kylaq focuses on practicality, modern design and aggressive pricing to attract first time Skoda buyers.

This compact SUV is expected to play a key role in increasing Skoda’s sales volumes in India. With a focus on value and everyday usability, the Kylaq will take on popular models like the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon.

The Volkswagen Taigun facelift is aimed to focus on improving cabin experience and feature content rather than performance. This update will help the Taigun maintain its position in a segment that has seen several new launches in this year.
