Renault Nissan to Launch New Models Sooner

After modifying the equity structure of the Renault Nissan globally, the group is now ready to bring another revolution in the prime Indian automobile industry. The Renault Nissan group is anticipated to publicly announce the introduction of 6 new models on February 13 in Chennai. 

The coming products

The sources have revealed that the prime target of the Renault Nissan group is the launch of the CMF-B architecture, which is anticipated to make the new-gen Duster as well as its Nissan equal. Another target is the Bigster SUV, which will also have a Nissan copy.

At the same time, the target on the main internal combustion engine market will only reside on B-segment SUVs in the country. If we talk about electrification, Renault Nissan will carry on to go with A-segment vehicles.  

In the very first week of February, the Renault Nissan group publicised that the domestic market and exports in India, Renault and Nissan will do a partnership on different new vehicle projects, adding new SUVs adopted by both collaborators.

As per the plan, it also includes a new Nissan MPV derived. Also, as in Latin America, both manufacturers are also acknowledging similar A-segment electric vehicles. Excluding all the fresh models based on the CMF-B architecture, Nissan will possibly provide the Magnite a renovation and launch some new products to make it fresh. 

Nissan also showed three of its famous international SUV’s in October 2022, with the fresh X-Trail held for the introduction which was planned earlier. The newest versions of the Juke and Qashqai were also showcased.

Putting electrification on the act, the Renault Kwid EV working on the CMF-A platform, that has also been part of various studies for nearly 5 years, is now being estimated for India. An SUV or an MPV working on the CMF-A platform can not be excluded, given the crucial move towards SUV’s in the automobile market, as per the sources.

The global chief executive officer of Renault, Luca De Meo emphasised on the significant role of India and stated, “With more and more tech cars grounded on Renault platform, it is the only chance for us and Nissan to get benefited among the most significant markets over the world.”

The COO of Nissan Motor Corporation, Ashwin Gupta also publicised that “India, the third biggest market over the world having almost 4.7 million vehicles sold, will surpass six million vehicles sooner, a 27% increase.”
