Ranbir Kapoor had once said in an interview that he is totally against remakes as there’s no use in featuring in a film, which has already been a success.

Kamaal R Khan (KRK), a self-described critic of movies, has shared an old video of Ranbir Kapoor in which the actor expressed his opposition to remakes. Sharing the video on Monday, KRK tweeted, “It’s a splendid proclamation of Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir Tells Why He Don’t Want To Work In Remake

Ranbir explained in the video why he doesn’t want to be in someone else’s film and why he wants to make something new. Additionally,  Ranbir  Kapoor stated that he would prefer that his films be remade. Ranbir Said These Points:

  • “I think there are new directors coming in. In the film industry, everyone is becoming braver and taking risks, and actors are taking on roles they probably wouldn’t have done in the beginning.
  • Every leading hero thinks like the character in the story. The film industry has undergone such a wonderful transformation recently.
  • Why should I make a film that someone else has already made to great success?
  • I want to come up with something brand-new and original.

He had additionally said that whenever told to do as such, he might want to have Anthony’s impact in Amar Akbar Anthony. Anthony was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the film, which also starred Vinod Khanna as Amar and Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir’s father, as Akbar and Amar.

Ranbir Said – I believe I am in a position where I can create original content, I always believe that if there is a film that has been made, it has been made to the best abilities and it is very hard to kind of recreate it and do a better version of it.
