World’s Longest River cruise MV Ganga Vilas Cruise was flagged by PM Modi on Friday. The cruise was the first cruise vessel that was made in India. The country will flourish in the tourism sector with new innovations. The cruise vessel is filled with world-class facilities and comfort. Moreover, this will be the longest river cruise as well.

The cruise is very luxurious and the cost will also replicate its features. The trip on MV Ganga Vilas cruise will cost Rs. 20 Lakh for a 3200km long trip that will last 51 days. The passengers on board will get all kinds of amenities inside the cruise letting them get the most exquisite experience of all time.

The World’s Longest River cruise will cover a distance of 3200km during which it will cross around 27 river systems. The cruise consists of 3 decks and 18 suites with a capacity of 36 visitors. The current visitors include 31 tourists from Switzerland and Germany. The cruise covers all the services to make it no less than a 5-star hotel. MV Ganga Vilas has amenities like spa center, gym and library as well.

‘The Ganga Vilas Project started under public-private partnership (PPP) model. The main objective of this project to improvise connectivity with our neighboring country Bangladesh. Moreover, the tourism sector will tend to grow substantially and this will majorly attract tourists from abroad.

PM Modi Inaugurates MV Ganga Vilas cruise 

PM Modi flags off the MV Ganga Vilas cruise for its first trip from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh to Dibrugarh, Assam. The cruise will visit Buxar, Chapra, Patna, Munger, Sultanganj and Kahalgaon of the Bihar state and they will be greeted at every port and historical places. The culture of India will show up and boost tourism in our country along with waterways.

PM Modi further said that the investment government has made will turn out with a fruitful result in the future and will rejuvenate the tourism sector in eastern India.  All the waterways project along with the MV Ganga Vilas cruise will cost around Rs. 1000 crore. However, this is just a cost of foundation laid for the better future of the country.

The cargo movement has also boosted in India resulting in giving three-times more services in the past 8 years. The MV Ganga Vilas cruise will first cover Ganga river and later it will trip on the Brahmaputra river for the course of 5 weeks.
