Several Party Leaders Accused Modi Government For Spending 300% More On G-20. Govt Refutes

The public authority indeed rubbished Trinamool pioneer Saket Gokhale’s one more case on G-20 that the financial plan allotted for G20 was overshot by 300%. The PIB fact-check team found that the claim is false due to expenditures for the creation of permanent assets of government and other infrastructure development, not just for hosting the G20 summit.

Referring to reports, the Trinamool pioneer on Monday asserted that ₹990 crore was distributed for facilitating the G20 culmination in the last Association Spending plan. However, 4,100 crore was actually spent by the government. Is there any good reason why BJP shouldn’t be made to pay this extra ₹3110 cr since it was plainly unimportant spending only for Modi’s self-notice and individual PR for 2024 decisions?” the Trinamool pioneer tweeted.

The Congress also brought it up, accusing PM Modi of overspending in order to “show off.” In order to enhance his image, PM Modi spent additional money to display his posters prior to the Lok Sabha election. Concealing the poor of the city, PM Modi made elaborate plans for the visitors including the silver and gold-plated flatware,” the Congress’ video said.

Delhi was decked up to host the world leaders for the two days of the G-20 summit which concluded India’s year of G-20 presidency. The summit achieved 100% consensus on the New Delhi leaders’ declaration making it a success of India’s presidency. The PIB asserted there was no flooding; just minor waterlogging in the open regions was accounted for after a heavy downpour which was quickly cleared.
