Maulana Saad, Tablighi Jamaat Chief Traced In Delhi’s Zakir Nagar

A few days back the coronavirus pandemic raised in India after Tablighi Jamat meet that took place in Nizamuddin. The jamaatis returned back to various parts of India carrying the infection with them. As a result, w saw an exponential rise in the coronavirus cases.

The Jamat Chief Maulana Saad said he was into self-isolation. The police traced him down today from his Zakir Khan’s residence in Delhi. However, He was not traced earlier at his residence. He will be tested for the coronavirus infection and see whether he is safe or infected. An enquiry through a video call will be done after which the govt will decide whether he will be shifted to govt quarantine centres or will be kept at home.

Maulana Saad Khandlavi along with 6 others have been booked by the government for violating the rules and holding a big public gathering despite the ban announced by the govt.

Saad was allegedly staying at his relative’s house when he was tracked down by the police. His medical reports are being asked for.

Maulana’s Reply:

Maulana Saad said that he was not hiding but was in self-isolation. In his defence, he also said that he informed the media that he would be available for questioning.

Cops are also planning to question Saad’s son who uploaded videos and clips of the sermons on YouTube channel. Also asking the devotees to join Markaz unfollowing the rules and social distancing norms.

Undoubtedly the Tablighi Jammat has played a major role in the widespread of the virus. The situation could have been controlled at a very early stage but now the situations are getting worse. The govt has decided tp sealed the hotspots to prevent community spread.

So far the Coronavirus positive cases have crossed 5500.
