Miss World 2021 Delayed As India’s Manasa Varanasi And 16 Others Tested Covid Positive

Covid-19 pushed forward the finale of Miss World 2021 as around 17 contestants are tested positive including Manasa Varanasi

This morning was about, to begin with, a new Miss World 2021 but it is still a dream for us and the contestants too. The event which was scheduled in Puerto Rico is postponed as covid-19 entered the contest contracting 17 contestants. Femina Miss India World 2020, Manasa Varanasi, was one among the infected.

The announcement was made last night on Thursday on the official Facebook and Instagram page of the organization. It reads, “Miss World 2021 temporarily postpones global broadcast finale in Puerto Rico due to health and safety interest of contestants, staff, crew, and the general public.”

The President of the Miss World organization, Julia Morley, has sent good health wishes to the contestants. The infected individuals are kept under observation and quarantine. They will return to their respected countries once medical experts give them a clean chit.

This is a temporary delay and Miss World 2021 finale will take place in the next 90 days at the scheduled location- Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot.
