Social media is flooded with numerous fake news and misconceptions amid the coronavirus pandemic that is not good for the entire nation. These fake news and misconceptions not only create fears among the people but promote conflicting views and violence. So, to control this, popular video app TikTok has started a campaign ‘Mat kar forward‘, requesting people to not share fake videos and news on social media.
Filmmaker Anurag Basu has directed this video with stars Kriti Sanon, Sara Ali Khan, Ayushman Khurana, and Virat Kohli. The four stars highlight how fake news is spreading and dangerous as the virus and how it can push people to make wrong choices, eroding trust and so on. Hence, in this video, all four celebs urge everyone not to spread this dangerous virus anymore.

The stars recorded the video at thier homes, and then Anurag edited it.
Talking about the video, Basu said,
“Today, we have a bigger responsibility than ever before to prevent the spread of misinformation. We all have the power to share the right information by evaluating the information we have at hand…I hope this is an awakening for everyone of how our actions can affect others today and every day.”
