Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition: Mahindra launched the Scorpio Classic in 2022 as a replacement for the iconic Scorpio SUV. Surprisingly, the new SUV received a positive response from buyers and has been doing good numbers in terms of sales. To further boost sales, Mahindra has announced the new Boss Edition of the Scorpio Classic.
The current Scorpio Classic is available in two variants – Classic S and Classic S11 – priced at Rs 13.62 lakh and Rs 17.42 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The company has not released prices for the new Scorpio Classic Boss Edition, which we think could be in between the two variants.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition: What’s new
The chrome embellishments on the exterior, including the front grille and fog lamp housing, have been darkened, while the bonnet scoop, rear quarter glass, headlamps, and tail-lamps also get dark chrome appliqués. The special edition also includes a rain visor, front skid plate, rear guard with black powder coating, and a rear-view camera. The wing mirror caps have a faux carbon-fibre finish
Inside the Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition, there is black seat upholstery as well as a comfort kit that includes cushions and neck pillows.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition Features
The company has released pictures and key details of the SUV on its social media platforms. The SUV is expected to be offered only in the Napoli Black shade. It comes with special changes on the outside and inside to make it look different from its regular model.
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition gets dark chrome treatment around the front grille, headlights, fog lamps, bonnet scoop, tail lights, and door handles. Mahindra has installed a front bumper extender and a silver skid plate, which further enhances its rugged look. The outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) are made of carbon fiber.
The dark chrome treatment for the door handles and tail lamps gives it a unique look. The rear reflector is enclosed in a dark chrome applique, while the rear guard comes with a black powder coating. Inside the cabin, the SUV gets Boss black seats upholstery and a comfort kit. The Scorpio Classic Boss Edition gets a dual-tone black and beige scheme for the dashboard layout, while the comfort kit adds neck cushions and pillows. It gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear parking camera, cruise control and climate control.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic Powertrain
The Scorpio Classic gets a sole 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 132hp and 300Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Scorpio Classic does not have any direct rivals in India right now, but it serves as a strong 7-seater alternative to midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and others.
