At CES 2023 in Las Vegas, Lenovo and Motorola unveiled the ThinkPhone – a device designed to provide smooth integration and enhanced security features to ThinkPad users. Powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, the smartphone is equipped with ThinkShield for advanced mobile protection and is MIL-STD-810H certified for military-grade durability. Made from aluminium frames and with an IP68 rating, the ThinkPhone is sweat, dust, and water-resistant. It also boasts a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging for a standby time of 36 hours on a single charge.

The Lenovo ThinkPhone is expected to launch in the US, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Australia, and certain parts of Asia in the near future. However, the pricing details have not been revealed yet. More information about the product is anticipated to be released closer to its launch date.

Lenovo’s new ThinkPhone has a 6.6-inch full-HD+ display with a hole punch cutout in the middle, with Gorilla Glass Victus protection which can withstand falls from 1.25 meters. It has an Aramid fibre back panel and an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, and is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The Lenovo ThinkPhone is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary rear camera for photography and a 32-megapixel sensor at the front for selfies and video calls. To access the cameras for video chats, simply press the red button on the device.

The Motorola ThinkPhone is equipped with Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams mobile applications already installed. It is secured with ThinkShield, a security system that safeguards against malware, phishing, and network attacks. Moto KeySafe is also included, which is an Android processor that stores PINs, passwords, and cryptographic keys in a secure environment. To meet business user needs, the ThinkPhone is equipped with Moto OEMConfig and Moto Device Manager for management solutions.

The Lenovo ThinkPhone provides a combined PC and mobile experience with Think 2 Think connectivity features. These features enable users to connect their smartphone to a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop via Wi-Fi, with instant connect functionality. Furthermore, users can access a unified clipboard, unified notifications, file drop and more. Additionally, app streaming allows users to open any Android application directly on a PC.

The Lenovo ThinkPhone smartphone has been certified by MIL-STD-810H for its military-grade durability and IPX8 for its sweat and splash resistance. It is capable of withstanding dust, water immersion up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. It is equipped with 5G, USB Type-C port, and Wi-Fi 6E for connectivity.
The Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola comes with a 5,000mAh battery that offers 68W wired charging and is said to come with a charger in the box. It is claimed to have up to 36 hours of playback time on a single charge and the fast charging feature is said to provide power for the day in only 10 minutes.
