5 Best ODI Innings of Virat Kohli

If you are a big fan of Virat Kohli, then you may have already known that today he has completed his 14 years in the Indian team. But the journey of all these years was not very easy for him. It is filled with many ups and downs.

In fact, Virat is not in form from almost 4 years, but still holds his position on the Indian team. And if you ask me why then there is a very simple reason, he is a miracle man who can score a century anytime.

In his long cricket career, King Kohli has played around 262 ODI matches and scored 12344 runs. It includes 43 centuries and 64 half centuries. But apart from this, the fans of Virat Kohli admire him for these best innings.

5 Best ODI Innings of Virat Kohli

1. 133* vs Sri Lanka, Hobert, 2012

Without any doubt, this is the best chase of Virat Kohli’s career. It was the 11th match of the Commonwealth Bank series in 2012, which is between India and Sri Lanka.

After winning the toss, India chooses to field first. But the decision went wrong and Sri Lanka scored 320 runs with the help of Dilshan and Sangkara’s centuries.

In the second innings, everyone is thinking that India will lose the match and we actually lost our three main wickets in the powerplay.

But then, King Kohli entered the ground fearlessly and smashed aggressive 133* runs in just 86 balls. It includes 16 fours and 2 sixes. He made India win in only 37 overs. Can you believe it?

This incredible knock is also from the year 2012 but in a different tournament. It was the 5th match of the Asia Cup between India and Pakistan.

From the start of the day itself, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. And it goes in well for Pakistan, both of their openers Muhammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed smashed massive centuries. At the end of the inning, they established a huge target of 329.

The challenge became big when our opener Gautam Gambhir lost his wicket on 0. But then Virat Kohli took all the responsibilities and stood for India till the end.

He scored 183 runs in 148 balls and bring victory single-handedly. It includes 22 fours and 1 six.

4. 100* vs Australia, Jaipur, 2013

If you ask me personally, this is the most epic match of India of all time. Because India chased 359 runs after losing only one wicket. I know this sounds a little impossible, but it was happed on Australia’s tour of India in 2013.

With the extraordinary performance of almost every Australian batsman, the team established a huge score of 359.

It felt like India almost lost this match and then this miracle happened. Rohit Sharma scored 141* runs in 123 balls, Shikhar Dhawan scored 95* runs in 86 balls, and Virat Kohli scored 100* runs in 52 balls.
