The post came after a video of him declining to comment on Shah Rukh Khan’s appearance in the movie surfaced. In Pathaan, John portrays the villainous role of a terrorist leader fighting against India. Siddharth Anand helms the movie, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead.

John Abraham shared with fans in advance of the movie’s January 25 debut, noting that the time was special to him. He thanked them for the enthusiastic response to the trailer of Pathaan, acknowledging the hard work that had gone into making the movie. He conveyed his anticipation for them to see his performance in the film, which had been directed by Siddharth Anand and featured Adi, who had cast him in some of his most noteworthy roles.
John Abraham’s post came after footage emerged of him evading a query about Shah Rukh Khan’s body in their upcoming movie at an event for a healthcare brand. When asked about SRK, he merely said, “Next question”, leading to speculation that something is amiss between the two men before the movie is out.

On Tuesday, the trailer for Pathaan was released to the public. The two-minute long video revealed John Abraham’s character leading a terrorist group that is planning to attack India. Shah Rukh Khan is cast as Pathaan, a soldier who is summoned to stop the group. Deepika Padukone plays a fellow soldier who aids Shah Rukh in his mission.
The director, Siddharth Anand, spoke of how he wanted to show John in a suave, sophisticated way. He commented that he believes the villain should be as, or even more, important than the hero and that the clash between them should be epic. He then added that this would be the case for the confrontation between John and the film’s star, Shah Rukh Khan.
