Kartik Aaryan divulged the advice that Paresh Rawal gave to him prior to shooting a slapping scene for their upcoming flick, Shehzada, which is slated to be released on February 10. The trailer of the movie, which stars Kartik Aaryan, was released earlier this week and featured a scene featuring the actor slapping Paresh Rawal. At the trailer launch event, Kartik stated that he was reluctant to do the slapping scene, but it was Paresh who told him to go ahead with it.

Rohit Dhawan is directing Shehzada, a Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu movie Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, which starred Allu Arjun. The movie is set to hit theatres on February 10, 2023, and will feature Kartik and Paresh Rawal, in addition to Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedekar.

Kartik told ETimes about the slapping scene at the event and said that he had been worried about how to perform it. He mentioned that they didn’t actually slap each other and it was shot in a way that it looked like it had happened. Moreover, he stated that it was important to have trust between co-stars and that Paresh ji alleviated the scene as he is the king of comic timing.

Kartik related what Paresh Rawal had told him before shooting the scene. He quoted the senior actor as saying, “Don’t be anxious, pull your punches and get into the spirit of the movie.” Paresh Rawal is the one who plays the father of Kartik’s character in the movie.

The Shehzada movie trailer begins with Kartik expressing his views on taking action rather than having discussions when it concerns his family. He is then seen fighting bad guys in several places including a basketball court, a harbor, and a factory. His not-so-tough side comes out in a scene where Paresh Rawal, his ‘baba (father)’, inquires if he would rather be a lawyer or a bouncer and Kartik responds with “both.” After discovering his real father Randeep, who is affluent and successful, Kartik desires to lead his life as a ‘Shehzada (prince)’.
Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Allu Arvind, S Radha Krishna and Aman Gill are the producers of Shehzada. Kartik’s last movie, Freddy, was made available through OTT.
