Preity Zinta has once again caught the nation’s attention with her presence during Punjab Kings’ matches in the ongoing Indian Premier League. But now she is back to what she does best – lighting up the silver screen. The actor has started shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi’s period drama Lahore 1947 with Sunny Deol.
Preity Zinta goes for shooting
The actor gave fans a sneak peek into the making of the film with a series of behind-the-scenes photos shared on social media. Expressing her excitement, Preity posted snapshots from the film sets, giving fans a glimpse into the world of Lahore 1947.
Sharing a photo of the film’s clapperboard, Preity captioned it, “On the sets of Lahore 1947.” Another image shows the actor sharing a candid moment with director Rajkumar Santoshi, hinting at the camaraderie behind the scenes.

Fans couldn’t control their excitement over Preity’s return to acting. One Instagram user commented, “Wow!! Can’t wait to see you on the big screen (heart eyes emoji).” “Yes, the most beautiful woman @realpz is back,” wrote another. “Preity Zinta is back?” The other one asked.
About Lahore 1947
Lahore 1947, produced under Aamir Khan Productions, stars Sunny in the lead role. The film was officially announced last October, garnering attention for its star-studded cast and promising story. Adding to the anticipation, veteran actors Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal also joined the cast of Lahore 1947 in pivotal roles. The film will see Sunny Deol sharing the screen space with his elder son Karan Deol, who made his debut in the 2019 directorial Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.
Interestingly, Preity’s last film was Bhiyaji Superhit in 2018 with Sunny. The two have shared screen space in films like Faaz (2001), The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003), and Heroes (2008). As far as producer Aamir is concerned, he and Preity were paired together in Farhan Akhtar’s directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai in 2001. Lahore 1947 marked the first collaboration between Preeti and Rajkumar Santoshi. This will be his return to the screen after 6 years.
