JMB Bhopal Case: On Monday, a team of NIA arrested two more terrorists from Bangladesh-based terror outfit- Jammat-ul-Mujahideen( JMB).

The arrested men are identified as Hamidullah and Hussain. Both were detained from the Eitkheldi area of Bhopal.

During interrogation, it was revealed that both terrorists illegally entered India through the border of West Bengal. They were living in Bhopal for a year hiding their identity.

Incriminating documents, Jihadi literature, mobile phones, and other materials were recovered from them. They wanted to hate and encouraging Muslim youth to start Jihad against India through social media platforms.

NIA tracked them through these platforms and arrested them from Eitkheldi on 8 August.  However, this is not the first time JMB terrorists have been arrested in Madhya Pradesh.

In March 2022, four more members of the JMB terrorist group were arrested in Bhopal’s Karond and Aishbagh areas.

The recent arrest of two people and those arrested earlier have a close connection. They were in contact with their associates sitting in Bangladesh.

In March, a case was filed against them following which NIA started an investigation in six different areas of Madhya Pradesh. Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were also under the NIA’s radar.

Jammat-ul-Mujahideen is a terrorist outfit based in Bangladesh. In 2014, they carried out a terror attack in West Bengal’s Bardhaman area where 2 people were killed.

They repeatedly carried out bomb blasts in different areas of India in 2016 and 2018.
