What’s in the Box – In the box of the phone, you get – the phone, a 45W fast charger, USB-A to Type-C cable, SIM ejector tool and some documentation. In the review unit, I got the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage variant in Titanium Grey colour. Other options include Enchanted Purple and Sea Breeze Green (vegan leather back).
Premium Design with Practical Build – The design of the phone looks very premium. There is a rectangular camera module at the back and despite the frame and back panel being made of plastic, it feels like an expensive phone in the hand due to a special coating.
connectivity – The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, hybrid SIM slot (2 SIM or 1 SIM + microSD card), and it comes with 9 5G bands, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and IP64 rating. MIL-STD-810H certification makes it durable.
Display – The phone has a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD screen, which comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 672 nits brightness. However, in this segment where Full HD+ displays are common, the Note 50x’s display suffers from problems like washed out colors and low-light flickering. Outdoor visibility is also below average. Stereo speakers are present but their sound quality and volume are both average.
Camera – The phone has a 50MP primary camera that takes decent photos in daylight, but details disappear in low light. The 8MP selfie camera captures colors well, but images often shake.
Battery – The 5,500mAh battery easily lasts a day and gets fully charged in about 1 hour with a 45W charger.
Performance & Gaming: A Strong Point
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset – although the name is new, its performance is similar to the already existing Dimensity 7050. This chipset is found in phones worth ₹ 15,000+. BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile can be played on high settings on the phone, although some frame drops were seen. The AnTuTu score is 6,23,056, which is considered good. The phone does not heat up much and remains under control even during long gaming sessions.
Software Experience: XOS 15 is Impressive
XOS 15 (based on Android 15) is a big upgrade from Infinix. The interface is smoother and less cluttered than before. Features like Dynamic Bar, Social Assistant and Halo Lighting make it special. The phone has fewer pre-loaded apps and an ad-free experience, which is commendable at this price. However, AI features like AI Eraser do not work yet. There are some new icon packs, but customization possibilities are limited.
Verdict: Should You Buy Infinix Note 50x?
If your priority is a premium looking phone, great battery backup, smooth UI, and a powerful processor, then the Infinix Note 50x is a great deal under ₹11000. However, there may be a compromise in display and sound quality.
